A community orchestra for everyone

Growing, developing and providing orchestral experience for musicians of all ages and abilities in the Lowveld

The Lowveld Community Orchestra was established in 2013 and currently has around 20 active members. We provide regular rehearsals and performances of orchestral concert music and our aim is to nurture and grow local musicians while continuously improving the performance standard of the orchestra.
The orchestra regularly performs in and around Nelspruit, including at the annual Nelspruit Songs of Praise, seasonal concerts hosted by the Lowveld Chamber Music Association as well as the Innibos Arts festival.
The Lowveld Community Orchestra Voluntary Association is registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO number: 930084221) and relies on donations and sponsorships to help fund our activities. The orchestra gratefully acknowledges the support of the Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra through a grant awarded for its 2025/26 financial year.
